"Take One" to Read!
Books to Movies
"Take One" to Read is the reading encouragement program sponsored by the Beaver School Library for 2009-10.
Students at Beaver Grade School are challenged by Principal Read Cates to read 750 books and pass AR tests, do an individual creative project, and join a group project.

Mr. Cates challenged
the students to each read
12 books in 12 weeks,
and he would eat worms, bugs,
and goldfish!

Mr. Cates joined a group of
faithful teachers in a reading cheer
at the halftime of a
high school basketball game!
"Bid to Read"
Mr. Cates auctioned off for a
hard day's work to
C & W Construction.
They donated $2250.00
to the Beaver School Library
for his services!
Mr. Cates aka Farmer Zuckerman will kiss a pig named Wilbur!
"Let Freedom Read"
Mr. Cates hosted a
mudslingin' patriotic party
for the students who completed
all requirements for the
Library Reading Program.
